The best place to have treatment is close to your home. However most things in life are not perfect. Sometimes the treatment you need may be not available immediately or it may be too expensive or unavailable. In some countries waiting time for operations could be as long as a year. Heart bypass surgery could cost approximately $150,000 in the United States, costs only $10,000 in an Asian country. A knee replacement surgery could cost $50,000 in the United States while you can have it done for $6,000 overseas. Similarly, gastric surgery costs around $5,000 at medical tourist destinations while it is around $10,000 to $20,000 in the US. You can travel to foreign countries, receive medical treatment, and convalesce well before a year. Fraction of cost does not mean a compromise in quality! Most of our healthcare care facilities have accreditation with international regulatory bodies.
It depends upon the insurance company and your policy. It is highly advisable to check prior if you are looking for it. We will follow all guidelines outlined by your insurance company and also provide you all required documents for re-imbursement.
The cost of the medical procedure quoted to patients is all-inclusive. It includes transportation, case management, the cost of the procedure, medicines, hospitalization and all costs associated with onsite follow-up care. Any exclusion will be clearly stated out.
The doctors who will be treating you are highly qualified and experienced. Most of them have had extensive training in Western countries. You can speak to them before making your trip. Also their CV will usually be available online. This will help you in knowing more about the doctor and give you the confidence that you will be treated by doctors who are amongst the best in the world.
You can access those hospitals directly. However sometimes it can be difficult to differentiate between various hospitals. Which hospital has staff conversant in English. Which hospital has special expertise in dealing with foreign patients. If you decide to go through us we can help you with local information. We will also be your voice in dealing with the hospital to make sure you get the best treatment.
It is wise to let your primary care physician know your plans to receive medical treatment overseas. It is common for doctors to be a little skeptical of the idea, however, it is best to share materials about international hospitals accredited by U.S. standards and the overseas physicians credentials and procedure cost. >
